Some tips for designers
A couple of great articles I’ve stumbled on recently that focus on the essence of new media design. 10 logo design tips from David Airey which might as well be printed onto stone and regarded as the 10 commandments for all I’m concerned. And a nice post from Tracy Grady that tackles common misconceptions about design and designers - What Graphic Design Isn’t.
Great advice all around!

You don’t need to be an artist to realise the benefits of logo sketching. Ideas can flow much faster between a pen and paper than they can a mouse and monitor.
But I have such a hard time getting any ideas to flow at all. I love doodling, but I am not imaginative enough I guess.

@Kelly that sure is true. Logo design really is a major weakness for me, which is why I particularly love David’s design process articles and highly anticipate his book.

The 10 logo design tips was especially very nice and interesting. We should draw inspiration from Picasso while designing logo.

Some great articles, whenever I design a new site I always leave the logo design last, because I find that’s the hardest part of web design.

start at by taking all the art classes you can at high school, because these will help you learn to draw and about colors, which is VERY important.
Whatever art classes they offer, take them, even if it is photography or anything else.
Then enroll yourself into a sewing class at your park district so you can learn how to sew.
